Love Was A ButterflyThe bed I cry on Is a temple to the world we held Like the most precious of butterflies Made of threads of gold.
Crumpled wings Twitching in the darkness Trying to breathe under my arms As I bury my face in them, Trying to forget it all.
Still hasn’t drawn it’s last breath From my heaving chest, Still feel it’s beautiful dream Brushing up against my cheek As it mourns with me.
It’s too late to save the creature I stitched together So long ago from bits of myself. All I can do is give it a grave And vow to move on &n Love Was A Butterfly
